Sunrise Peru Trek provides an online platform that connects Operators who have knowledge and experience with a particular travel destination or activity with Travellers seeking to experience such destinations and activities (collectively with the Site and Application (each as defined below), the «Services»). The Services are accessible at larestrekmachupicchu.com and any other websites through which Sunrise Peru Trek makes the Services available (collectively, the «Site») and any related applications. By using the Services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Terms of Service, whether or not you become a registered user of the Services.

Reservations Details

To reserve and confirm Lares Trek to Machu Picchu or any program for groups or individual clients the following information is required and must be sent to us via our reservation form.

• Full name as it appears in the holder’s passport.
• Passport number valid on the date of the trip being requested.
• Departure Date.
• Address and telephone number.
• current e-mail address;
• Nationality.
• Date of birth.
• Gender.
• Occupation.
• Dates and times of flights or arrival in Peru and Cusco.
• Medical or dietary restrictions.
• Any special interests regarding the service requested.

About the tour Price:

1. The prices of our tours and Lares Trek to Machu Picchu are expressed in American dollars and you are voluntarily accepted and agreed before making a tour reservation.
2. You must advise to SUNRISE PERU TREK of any medical problems or allergies; you need to be in good physical health and if your health is questionable, then you should consult a doctor. If you are over the age of 60, then you will need to present us with a current medical certificate.
3. You must advise your guide if you wish to leave the group or the camping area for independent walks or sightseeing. If you are experiencing any problems with the service of the guide or tour please inform to your guide in that moment so he can resolve any problems as soon as possible.
4. The Customers must be in possession of a valid passport and all visas required for the whole of the journey and the client accepts responsibility for obtaining the same. Any information or advice given by the company on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, etc is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of the company.
5. We will buy your trek permit using the passport numbers that you send us with your trek booking application. You must bring these same passports with you to Cusco and take them on the trek. If the number in your passport is different from the number on the trek permit, the government authorities will not allow you to start the trek and you will not be entitled to a refund.
6. The company will do its best to minimize the effects of matters outside its control, but cannot accept any liability for these matters which include political disputes, industrial action, unforeseeable climate, road blocks, landslides on the trek, problems with the railway between Aguas Calientes and Cusco, delayed trains etc. In order to avoid strike action which has been planned on certain days the group may have to in the evening before the planned trek departure date. SUNRISE PERU TREK will not be responsible for any costs associated with unused or partly used accommodation services due to this earlier than planned departure.
7. Is the client’s responsibility for obtaining sufficient personal travel insurance. The client is willing to accept full responsibility for insurance up to limits that the client may require. This insurance must cover personal accident, medical expenses, air ambulance, loss of effects, repatriation costs and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury delay or inconvenience occurring to the client. It is compulsory that all clients have personal travel insurance
8. Cancelation of a tour or Lares Trek to Machu Picchu within 5 days – 36 hours of departure incurs a loss of 90% of total tour cost.
9. Cancelation of tour within 36 hours of departure incurs a loss of total tour cost.
10. However we can organize an alternative tour to visit Machu Picchu joining your group and utilizing your permit, completing the tour as normal from here within this cancellation penalty charge if train tickets are available. The only extra charge is the cost of the train to Aguas Calientes. US$ 65.00 pp or with a Vistadome upgrade US $77.00 pp. and Accommodation in Aguas Calientes if is required.
11. Change of dates is not possible after a permit has been processed. It is neither non-transferable nor refundable Permits. The deposit will be forfeited. Please note that we do this because we are prohibited to re-sell your spot after you have cancelled. However you can use the entrance to Machupicchu in the indicated date.
12. The train tickets.- Changes to schedules or dates when train tickets have been finalized incurs an administration charge of US$ 10 per ticket. At times a change of date may only be possible with an upgrade and so the difference in price would need to be paid.
13. One or two days before your trip, there will be a preliminary briefing at our offices or your hotel at approximately 6 or 7 pm (the exact time will be confirmed).
14. Payment of final balance: We require you to complete the remaining payment in our offices or at your hotel when we meet, which is to be made before you start your tour and in cash (in American dollars or national currency). We reserve the RIGHT to cancel your travel if you do not effect payment within the established term.
15. VERY IMPORTANT: We strongly suggest that you stay at high altitude (above 3000 meters, in Cusco or another high-altitude city), during 2 or 3 days (minimum) before starting your journey. This has the purpose of reducing the possibility of altitude sickness. You can also help your body acclimatize by drinking lots of fluids, adding a little sugar to your drinks, eating foods rich in carbohydrates, avoiding cigarettes and alcohol and drinking coca (ancient traditional leaf) tea.
